Vladimir Yakunin, Russian Railways
On behalf of Russian Railways and also on my own behalf, I welcome the organisers, participants and guests of the XVI International Conference “Information Technologies for Rail Transport”!
Information technologies are today among the most important elements of the railway infrastructure, now that efficient development of railway transportation requires deployment of advanced information provision systems in the area of railway infrastructure management and maintenance.
In turn, their reliable operation is a prerequisite for boosting transport efficiency and service quality for all participants on the transport services market.
Fulfillment of this task is especially important given the rapid development of multimodal transportation: cooperation between different kinds of transport requires deployment of the most advanced information and automation systems in the area of transport infrastructure management.
I believe the annual meeting of IT experts at the XVI International Conference “Information Technologies for Rail Transport” will help develop optimal solutions for improving business processes in the field of transport infrastructure management and maintenance on the basis of advanced Russian and international experience.
I wish the conference members successful and fruitful work, interesting discussions and new and promising solutions!
|President JSC “Russian Railways”||
Igor Levitin, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation
I am pleased to welcome the participants, guests and organisers of the Sixteenth International Conference “Information Technologies in Railway Transport”
For the Russian transport industry, the introduction of advanced information technologies is of fundamental importance. Efficient and widespread computerisation is the key to the sustainable development of the Russian transport industry in the future. This process plays a significant role in the implementation of the Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period until 2030.
The efficient management of transport infrastructure as well as passenger and freight traffic depends on the quality and volume of the introduction of advanced information technologies. This challenge is particularly relevant in the context of satisfying the growing needs of the economy and the Russian regions for transport services as well as in the run-up to our country hosting major international sporting events.
I am confident that holding this conference will promote growth in the technological and innovative efficiency of the Russian transport industry.
I wish the participants of the Sixteenth International Conference “Information Technologies in Railway Transport” successful work as well as interesting and informative discussions.
